These shirts show historic ads taken from the pages of popular mail order catalogs such as Montgomery Ward and Sears Roebuck. Beginning at the turn of the 20th Century, if you did not live a short distance from a downtown store which might stock these musical instruments and supplies, you had to order through a mail order catalog and wait for your instrument to arrive by the US Postal Service. There was no television, computers, or internet back then, and these instruments were seen as a valued way to pass the time. We offer these vintage advertisments as a nod to nostaglia and with pride in our collective musical heritage. The items depicted in the advertisments are no longer available at the prices mentioned, if available at all.
